This week we bring to you brews from the Bayou. Bayou Teche Brewing Company is located in Arnaudville, Louisiana. This is yet another brewer founded by brothers way back in 2010. This week we tried two brews from them a Farmhouse Ale and an IPA. Thanks for Sharing and Laissez les bon temps rouler.
THE FACTS: LA-31 ARCADIE
ABV: 5.7%
IBU’s: 20
STYLE: French Farmhouse Ale
WAS IT GOOD: This was my favorite of the two from these guys. I really enjoyed this one. This French Farmhouse was good and went down easy and smooth. I easily could have had about 7 or 50 of these.
GARAGE FRIDGE ADDITION: FoSho!!! This one could easily make its way back into the garage fridge. I need to get my butt down to Louisiana and check these guys out.
THE FACTS: LA-31 SWAMP THING IPA
ABV: 6.3%
IBU’s: 60
STYLE: Indian Pale Ale
WAS IT GOOD: Yeah, it was good. It wasn’t nearly as hoppy as the IBU would have indicated, not that, that is always a good measuring stick. Lately, it seems like these IPA’s are all starting to run together. Brewer’s are making them left and right. This was a refreshing change of pace. Great job on the Swamp Thing.
GARAGE FRIDGE ADDITION: I would add it or my boys that like to drink IPA’s. Like I said earlier it is a good change of pace from all the other IPA’s.
OTHER BEERS, DRINKS, and SHIT:
That’s it from this week. Sorry I had to let the liver and kidneys recover from Brew Fest a week ago. I guess these means that I am not a full blown alcoholic, but more of a social one. I awoke Sunday feeling like the Swamp Thing. I rose from the living room floor smelling like bad decisions with a hint of good times.
Here is what some others were drinking this week.
