This week we drop a mix of brews for you. Well, 4 to be exact. We got ole faithful in Dogfish Head, Weyerbacher, Zero Gravity, and Captain Lawrence. The combination’s had my head spinning a bit but I think we got a good handle on some of the flavors and which ones we really liked. These are in no particular order so onto the FACTS!!!!!
THE FACTS: If you don’t know anything about Dogfish Head then you have been missing out. The Delaware Legends are amongst the Craft beer Gods.
THE BEER: Festina Peche
STYLE: Berliner Weisse-style
WAS IT GOOD: It is but it was off for this time of year. I would have much rather had this on a nice hot summer day. This was not a DUDE Brew that you could sit around and Bullshit with unless you were with some ladies then it’s down the old hatch.
GARAGE FRIDGE ADDITION: I would load up for ladies with this one. I am sure that I got at least one bro who is into lady beers so this one is for him also.
THE FACTS: Captain Lawrence Brewing company out of Vermont has been rocking the craft beer industry since 2006. If you are ever near the Hudson Valley in Vermont head over the Captain and enjoy their 6K square foot beer garden.
THE BEER: HOP Commander IPA
STYLE: India Pale Ale
WAS IT GOOD: This was a good change of pace from the Festina Peche. High on the IBUs for me, yeah I know pussy right. The brew was as Hoppy as advertised but still finished well.
GARAGE FRIDGE ADDITION: I don’t load up much on IPA’s but if you’re into that kinda thing then knock yourself out.
THE FACTS: Weyerbacher Brewing Company is an old dog in a new trend. These guys have been making beer since 1995 in Easton Pennsylvania.
THE BEER: Dallas Sucks!!!!!! Because these guys are Birds Fans.
STYLE: American Pale Ale
WAS IT GOOD: Your GODDAMN RIGHT IT IS. It is light and easy to drink. These guys are perfect for the tailgate.
GARAGE FRIDGE ADDITION: Fuck Yeah especially during football season. Load up on these and get brutal.
THE FACTS: Zero Gravity Brewing Company out of Burlington Vermont has been making brews since 2004. This was my favorite one for the week.
THE BEER: Conehead
STYLE: India Pale Ale
WAS IT GOOD: This was a good start considering I have never had any of their beers before. This is a brew that you could easily lose count of in the right setting. This didn’t come off too hoppy and was an easy brew to kick back.
GARAGE FRIDGE ADDITION: Yeah we can drop a few this guys in the fridge.
If I were to Rank them this week it would go
#1 Zero Gravity #2 Weyerbacher #3 Dogfish Head #4 Captain Lawrence
Check Back Next Week when we try Hamburgh Brewing Company
