It’s been a week since that terrible loss for the birds and I am still not over it. The birds had them beat and let them off the hook. The defense looked terrible and the secondary looked pedestrian at best. Hopefully, they have put that behind them and are looking at starting on a new foot this week.
The birds are coming off a tough win to get to 2-1 on the season. Carson looked good in his first game back. He moved with no restrictions in the pocket and had some good zip on the ball. The Eagles face off this week against the Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans defense.
The first drive was perfect. Carson overthrew a couple times but when it counted he kept the team moving and eventually hit Dallas Goedert in the Endzone for the rookies first TD. In the second drive, he made a couple moves scrambled got hit and bounced right back up. After the collective hush the crowd new Prince Wentz was back.
Week one was a little scary as the Eagles offense as it took some time to get things rolling. On the plus side, the Defense looks legit. This week the Eagles take on the Bucs who had a great week one dropping 48 on the Aint’s. Nice defense New Orleans!!! They will need to come back to earth this week since they are going to face what may be the best Defense in the entire NFL this year.
Thursday may have been the hottest goddamn game I have ever been to. The parking lot was full the drinks were cool and the stadium was rocking. Game one of the 2018 season felt like a playoff game and had you on edge all night. In the end, the Eagles were able to pull out a win that looked a lot like last years victory over the Falcons with Matty Ice not being able to get Julio Jones the ball on the last play. So let’s see how we made out on the Pre-Game Write Up.
OMG football is f$%#ing back!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought this day would never get here. The Eagles get to start the season out playing the team they knocked out in the playoffs last year, the Atlanta Falcons. The expectations are high for the Birds and today is the beginning of what should be another great season.
The Eagles and Coach Pederson are playing coy right now with who will be starting at QB. It is funny how short our memories are especially when it comes to Nick Foles. The world was coming down around us when he had a terrible game against the Raiders and the Cowboys, yet he still went on to win the Super Bowl. Now here we are again in an all-out panic that Foles is trash because he looked bad in meaningless games. Now we want to rush Carson Wentz back because we have no confidence in the coach or the backup QB. Take a deep breath people it’s going to be okay.
What a great week. I attempted or am still attempting to brew my first batch of beer. The wife got the confirmation for her new job that she starts next week. St. Paddy’s day was yesterday so you know I got hammered. Oh and I got to see the Lombardi Trophy, and do some “Chalk Talk ” with Eagles new receivers Coach Gunter Brewer. It was cool to see my pop get to see the trophy. This week is going to be hard to top but I’ll give it shot. Man is it a good time to be alive.
Well the unthinkable has happened and the Philadelphia Eagles have made it to the Super Bowl to face off against the New England Patriots. The Eagles have defied all odds to make here. They weren’t the fan favorite, they didn’t have the toughest schedule, they lost player after player including the franchise QB. They got a back up that thought about retirement just a year prior. Each playoff game they were doubted and made the underdogs event though they had the best record in the league. Nick Foles was touted as a bum and wouldn’t win a playoff game. Hell even the coach at one time was considered to be below average and unqualified. With all of that the Eagles and their true fans stood there with their arms folded, that blue-collar stare, and calmly said F@#$ You with each passing victory. On Feb 4th the Philadelphia Eagles and the City of Philadelphia will finally get what they truly deserve and that is the Lombardi Trophy.
Well last week the Birds did the exact opposite of what it was going to take to win against the Seahawks. They didn’t protect the ball, they didn’t protect the QB, they couldn’t run effectively, […]
