Eagles vs. Patriots (Super Bowl)

Well the unthinkable  has happened and the Philadelphia Eagles have made it to the Super Bowl to face off against the New England Patriots.  The Eagles have defied all odds to make here.  They weren’t the fan favorite, they didn’t have the toughest schedule, they lost player after player including the franchise QB.  They got a back up that thought about retirement just a year prior.  Each playoff game they were doubted and made the underdogs event though they had the best record in the league.  Nick Foles was touted as a bum and wouldn’t win a playoff game.  Hell even the coach at one time was considered to be below average and unqualified.  With all of that the Eagles and their true fans stood there with their arms folded, that blue-collar stare, and calmly said F@#$ You with each passing victory.  On Feb 4th the Philadelphia Eagles and the City of Philadelphia will finally get what they truly deserve and that is the Lombardi Trophy.   Continue reading “Eagles vs. Patriots (Super Bowl)”

Headed to the Dance

The Eagles have finally gotten back to the promise land and they were able to do it with a back up in Nick Foles.  What a game, the Eagles completely dominated what was the number 1 defense in the league.  The birds have taken on the persona of the underdog and love it.  No team has worked harder for it then this one.  It’s our time, it’s Philly’s time.  The Eagles are Finally headed back to the big Dance.  Continue reading “Headed to the Dance”

Frankie “The Freak” Paul vs Wing Bowl (Update)

The anticipation is building around the single greatest eating event ever, WING BOWL.  Frankie Paul sits and trains in and out of the ring.  He gets in the EAT LAB and works on his food game.  Shit, he ain’t eating chicken wing he eats Falcon wings that he caught with own bare hands.  He is what Rocky wanted to be. The Competitors are now coming out of the wood works, like this bum Pittsburgh Paulie, in an attempt to shake up THE FREAK.  Pittsburgh Paulie is the kinda guy who gets out of breath just driving.  Frankie Paul is cut from a different cloth, he doesn’t get worried, he OPERATES.  His following is beginning to grow.  The Massses are algning for one single Goal.  He has begun building his alliances with great showmen such as Moe Train.  Don’t be mistaken, The FREAK is coming for the Title.  Continue reading “Frankie “The Freak” Paul vs Wing Bowl (Update)”

Eagles vs. Vikings (Conf. Champ)

Well, Well, Well look who is still in the playoffs.  Your damn right, the Philadelphia Eagles are.  We proved all experts wrong this past weekend by winning the un-winnable game.  This team is, was, and will continue to be more than one player.  Yes Carson Wentz is damn good, which makes the team even better when he is in there.  This team is also really good without him because of the talent and they are well coached, and embody the “Team Mentality.”  The game wasn’t very pretty but playoff football generally isn’t.  The teams match up well and will battle it out, just like this past game.  That means we are in for another tough battle this weekend when Minnesota comes to the City of Brotherly Love.

Frankie “THE FREAK” Paul

I will tell you the tale of a man who is a legend, mainly in his own mind, but his growing popularity is that of an active volcano, we are all waiting for it to erupt.  His claim to fame seems to come from lies and wise tales yet many have been there to either witness or be implicated in one of his acts.  His mind wonders a bit and he doesn’t sit still much, or he sits still too much it’s kinda weird to explain.  Either way this man has gone by many names, Stephen, Stephano, The Aquatic Giant, TAL, T, Frankie, SLAM, and the finally the Freak.  He rarely matches his clothes which adds to the oddity of his character.  He may be wearing a black fur with red shorts, or plaid pants with an off-color V-neck.  It doesn’t make sense nor should it.  He is more cartoon character than real human.  Most stories start with, “hey remember that time he did this or did that”.  You all laugh and the new guy says “No Fucking Way.”  You chuckle, shake your head and walk away, he doesn’t know any better.  Recently the Freak added small but new accolades to his growing resume of I can’t believe he is doing that tasks.  He was in an independent short  film, is a professional boxer (March 24th), had a beer named after his alter ego ” The Selfie King of Delaware”,  and now has made it to competitive eater.  The Freak will be participating in Wing Bowl on February 2nd. Eagles vs. Rams

Well last week the Birds did the exact opposite of what it was going to take to win against the Seahawks.  They didn’t protect the ball, they didn’t protect the QB, they couldn’t run effectively, and they surely didn’t contain Russell Wilson.  They clearly had issues with the noise in that stadium and now you can see why home field advantage is so important.  Congrats to the Seahawks.  On to the Rams.

Moving a team back to L.A was a horrible idea, and moving two teams may have been one of the dumbest things that the NFL has ever done.  It’s so bad that they had to put out an open casting call for people to act like Rams fans for the broadcast on Sunday.  They had to do this because the Eagles will be playing a home game on the road because so many fans are going to attend.  Great job NFL.

Todays theme will be to run the ball, run the ball, run the ball.  If you didn’t understand what I was saying earlier RUN THE BALL.  The Rams are 27th against the run.  The Eagles are #2 in rush offense.  Keeping the Rams offense off the field will be key to getting this victory.  The Rams like to get out of the huddle quickly so that Head Coach McVay can read the defense and relay the options into Goff.  In the QB’s helmet the coach can talk to the QB until there is 17 seconds left on the play clock then the ear piece turns off.  The Rams use this to their full advantage.  It will be key for the Eagles to disguise their defense until that time.  If they show anything to early then they could get torched.

Defensively the Eagles will have to get after and frustrate the young QB.  They need to force him to make quick decisions in the pocket and flush him out to his weak side.  Doing this will likely lead to a couple of turn overs.  This is all predicated on the fact that the Eagles D will have to stop Todd Gurley.  If you don’t stop him it will be a long day.  The good thing is that we have the #1 rush defense.

I expect the Eagles to show some passion this week and show off Carson and that run game a bit.  Carson is the better of the two QB’s playing today and he will prove it.

Final Score 27 – 17 Eagles.

Ajayi goes off for 100 plus yards today.

Eagles vs. Da Bears

Last week proved that the Eagles are by far the best team in the NFC East.  They are still on a crash course to meet the Falcons, Vikings, or Saints in the Playoffs.  Hopefully the Eagles can stay ahead of all of them and get home field advantage throughout the playoffs.  They dismantled the Cowboys in a way that broke their spirits, some players even gave up which was noticed by the national media and players on the field.  Once the Cowboys got past their scripted plays they really began to fall apart.  Prescott currently isn’t a QB that can manage a game or handle in-game adjustments.  Carson was clearly a better QB and people can now stop arguing in defense of Prescott.

This week will look similar to last week in that the Bears will come out and move the ball a little with their scripted plays, normally in the 12-15 play range, and once they get past that the game will fall apart for them.  The biggest issue is that they are a run first and pretty much only offense, and we love stopping the run.  Trubisky doesn’t have the ability to carry a football team.  He really shouldn’t either since he is a rookie on a bad team.  The Eagles win this one easily today by dominating the clock, ground, and on defense.

Hey everyone there are a couple of things that we as fans need to stop doing.

  1.  Each week can’t be a trap game so stop saying
  2.  Say the Eagles are going to the Super Bowl.  Once you embrace this you’ll have more fun
  3.   It’s not our job as fans to “worry about the next game”  you can say we are going all the way.

Predictions for this game

  1.  Eagles sack the QB 4 times
  2.  Carson with 3 TD’s today
  3.  Jay Ajayi will reach the end zone with a 30+ yard run.
  4.  Carson will not have to play the end of the Game
  5.  Eagles win this one 37 – 10

Eagles vs. Cowboys

Well it’s that time of year again, Eagles vs. Cowboys.  This week marks that point in the season when trash talking is normally at its highest point but for some reason the Cowboy fans have been a little quite this year.  I wonder if it’s because they realize that the season is over.  That the injuries have finally caught up, that the suspension of Zeke is just too much, and that they have the inferior quarterback.  Asking Prescott to carry the team is too much to ask of the young man.  Plus having no talent at the left tackle will enable the Eagles to get to the young QB all day.

I almost feel bad for what is about to happen.  Many believe that this is the game that the Cowboys get back on track.  The story sounds good, a banged up team who is desperate for a win.  The Narrative of writing how the Cowboys overcame so much to get the big win basically writes itself.  But in the end it’s just a fictional story, something that you hope to tell your kids at night so that they sleep well.

I am sorry to break the news but this is going to be a nightmare for the Cowboys.  Like Freddy Krueger huanting them in their dreams.  The Eagles are coming off a bye week and only got healthier.  Ronald Darby is back and Jay Ajayi has had more time to get into the play book.  The Eagles are going to go down to Dallas and tear them apart.  The Eagles will pressure Prescott all day, destroy what running game they have left, and shred the defense with an amazingly balanced offensive attack.  The Eagles are built for a run in the post season and the Cowboys are built to watch it from their Lazy Boy chairs.

The Eagles will dominate the clock today with a heavy dose of Ajayi and Blount.  This will break the will and spirit of the Cowboys.  Carson will throw at least two more TD’s today brining him to 25 TD’s on the season.  Ajayi gets in the end zone again and has over 100 yards on the ground.  Blount also gets in today with a goal line score.  The Cowboys are done for this year and after Sunday night the whole nation will get to see it.

Final Score 33-10.  Eagles

Eagles vs. Broncos

The Eagles are in for a tough defensive game this week with the Denver Broncos coming to town.  They match up well on defense and with the LT Jason Peters out expect the Broncos to throw a lot at Big V, yes big V because his name is to hard for most people to pronounce.  Oh you don’t think so, well here try it out.  Halapoulivaati Vaitai (pronounced hal-lah-poo-lee-VAH-tee VIE-tie), yeah even with the pronunciation help you still screwed it up.   Any way, they are going to throw a lot his way not because he sucks but because he isn’t Jason Peters.  He may be one day just not today.  This will be okay because we can offset the blitz with quick passes and a fluid running game.

Wait!!!!!!! Did some one say running game, hell yeah.  Jay Ajayi, welcome to Philly big dog.  We are already the #5 rushing team in the NFL and with the addition of Ajayi we will be the number 1 team over the next 8 games.  Ajayi is coming off a short practice week which means he will get some designed carries.  I expect him to run the ball 10-15 times at most.  I do think he will find the end-zone.  Being able to run the ball effectively will offset the blitz packages that are sure to come.  Plus its age-old tactics in football that you use the run to set up the pass.  Did someone say pass, oh yeah that’s right we have the MVP from the first half of the season in Carson Wentz who is nasty on third downs and just so happens to lead the league in TD passes.   Sorry Deshaun Watson, it would have been nice to see you and Carson battle for that top spot.  You two are the wave of the future in this league.

The Eagles will struggle a little in the beginning but ultimately take care of business.  The statue known as Brock Osweiler will turn the ball over at least twice, and get sacked at least 3 times in the game.  Eagles will drop over 20 points in this one continuing their streak of 20+ points in a game to 13 straight games dating back to last season.

Final Score in this 24-13.  Eagles of Course.

GO BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!
