Throw out the stats and rankings for this one. The Eagles and Redskins are going to go at it in a classic NFC East battle on Monday night football. This game will be tough and will come down to a few simple things. The winner of this game will be the team that controls the clock and commits the fewest turn overs. Simple right, but that has been the formula this season. The Eagles will need to dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
The Eagles defense will dominate the run once again, forcing the Redskins to throw the ball. Kurt Cousins can get hot but this week the pressure will be too much. If the Eagles can find a way to get up by 10 or 14 early in the game it will be over pretty fast. With the applied pressure and an improving secondary the Eagles will handle the Skins this week.
Once the Eagles get up in the scoring bracket they will shut the game down by pounding the football and converting those third downs. My guess is the game will get a bit boring going into the 4th quarter tonight. You better not leave early if you are a true fan.
Me I’ll be starting my day off in D3 as always, tailgating with a great group of guys. Stop by and talk some football.
Predictions for tonight’s game
